Speech therapy practice website and local SEO
Communiverse had been serving families across Montgomery County for over two decades and barely existed in Google. The referrals came from schools and word of mouth, which works right up until it doesn’t.
The search problem was specific. Parents don’t search for “speech language pathology.” They search for the thing they’re worried about — “speech delay 3 year old,” “childhood apraxia,” “feeding therapy near me,” “does my child need speech therapy.” Seven distinct concerns, seven different levels of urgency, and the old site had one page covering all of it.
What we built. A new site with a page per service — speech and language, neurodiversity affirming practice, social communication, executive function, childhood apraxia, feeding therapy, AAC — each written for the parent searching that specific term rather than for a clinician reading a brochure. Location pages for Conshohocken, the Main Line and Greater Philadelphia, plus telehealth coverage statewide.
The conversion piece mattered as much as the ranking. The practice’s real advantage is a free phone consultation with no forms and no pressure, so that became the primary action on every page rather than a contact form buried in the footer. Google reviews pull in live, and the three-step intake — call, evaluation, matched specialist — is laid out plainly because parents arriving here are usually anxious and want to know what happens next.
Seventeen thousand plus organic impressions in the first three months, at a 2.2% click-through rate with 121 queries ranking in the top 3. For a practice that was effectively invisible in search a quarter earlier, that’s the difference between waiting for referrals and generating them.
